BIO/About

 

 

Warren Rose Professionally known by his stage name Bruse Wane, is a Jamaican-American Hip Hop artist, rapper and songwriter from The South Bronx section of New York City. He established his name in Hip Hop by collaborating and working with a number of prominent Hip Hop musicians. Including Sean Price, Papoose, Keith Murray, N.O.R.E, Remy Ma, Styles P, Chris Rivers, & More. He has also worked with the Universal Hip Hop Museum
 

Early life

Bruse Wane was born on the Caribbean island of Jamaica, and given the name Bruce at the time of his birth. Bruce immigrated to the United States & Eventually settled in the Soundview section of the Bronx in the "Bronxdale Houses Projects". It is there he began his rapping career. He original rapped under the name "True". Circumstance led him to believe his true calling was in managing and promoting. Once he became a promoter he changed his name to "Bruse Wane" seeking a name more intuned with late night promotion life style he began to lead. He altered the spelling of his birth name Bruce by replacing the c with an s (Bruse),and added the last name Wane as a moniker. This was done as a play upon characterization of the fictional DC Comics character Batman's alternate identity Bruce Wayne.

Bruse Founded Wane Enterprises Entertainment LLC  originally as a management company before it became a promotional company. The company held its first upcoming artist and promotional showcase in the now defunct New York City Night Club Demmarrah's. Bruse found success and notoriety with "Bruse Wane Enterprises". They are regarded as the first promotional company in the Metropolitan Tri-state area to bring signed Hip-Hops acts to their underground aspiring artist showcase events. Notable Hip-Hop acts that appeared at "Bruse Wane Enterprises" events included Styles P, Keith Murray,Papoose, N.O.R.E, Buckshot, Remy Ma and more. Bruse was the last promoter to have Bronx Hip Hop artist Remy Ma booked for an engagement during the time she was arrested and jailed for shooting her former friend.

Notable music industry entities that attended his events included Defjam Recordings, Universal Records and Koch Records Now E-1 Entertainment. Bruse Also briefly worked with Violator Management's representative Du Love. For an extended period of time Wane Enterprises held there events at the Remote Lounge Night Club in New York's Bowery Section. Wane Enterprises has since evolved into a Digital Record label and media outlet. Its home website

Returning to rapping/music

Influenced by rapper "Fam-Illy" Bruse Wane released The Dark Knight Ep- Return To Hip-Hop's Golden Era. The Ep featured original recordings Bruse made during the early and mid 1990s. This time period is regarded as Hip-Hop's Golden era thus the name of the Ep. The Ep only featured one song recorded in the 2000s."That aint Hip-Hop" featuring Rapper Fam-Illy. Two Music Videos were shot to promote the Ep for the songs "Dun Da Lye"and "That Aint Hip-Hop"

Current  Releases & Future Projects

Bruse's  Debut Album "The Dark Knight Album" The Day The Earth Stood Still"  is currently available world wide. It was released June 16, 2013 Off the Wane Enterprises Label. The Album Featured 12 tracks of music and spawned two remixes. Home of Spitters featuring Hip Hop Legend Keith Murray & Beast Inside featuring Hip Hop Legend Sean Price.

Bruse Wane's  critically praised Sophmore Album "The Earl Manigault Of Rap"  was released November 23rd 2015 off his  Wane Enterprises Label. The album features the final verse ever recorded by from Hip-Hop legend Sean Price, and an appearance by the legendary Big Pun's Son Chris Rivers on the Hit song Venom. The video for Venom featured appearances by the legendary Dj Eclipse of Non Phixon , illa Ghee and Chris Rivers. Venom

Bruse Wane's songs " Ol Head" & "Stone Age" are featured on the Universal Hip Hop Museums "16 Bars 4 Hip Hop" Album. The album is Sponsored by the "Universal Hip Hop Museum" and Executive Director Rocky Bucano.
 The 16 Bars 4 Hip Hop compilation album was released in November 25th 2017. Bruse Wane's Highly anticipated mixtape "TheBatMan Should Have Been On It" Mixtape was released November 18th 2017" on Datpiff.com  . Bruse Wane most recent full length album The Dark Knight Album 2 the fight for Gotham was released July 15th,  2019 and featured the lead off singles "Killa Soundboy" featuring Papoose, TheBatMan Cometh & "Keepers Of The flame featuring Big Pun's son Chris Rivers.
